About the Center
Formally inaugurated in 2004, the Center for Eighteenth-Century Studies at Indiana University is one of the oldest and liveliest interdisciplinary groups on the Bloomington campus. With dozens of faculty and graduate-student affiliates drawn from eight departments, the Center:
- organizes monthly discussions of members' work;
- gives an annual prize for best book in the field;
- hosts a national workshop-format conference every spring.
