Biography
I am currently writing my dissertation on taken-for-granted labor during the French Revolution (advised by Professor Rebecca Spang). Drawing on sociological theories of inhabited institutions, I aim to analyze how the material working conditions of local officials often hindered their ability to conform to national regulations and how these negotiations formed the Revolution.
While an undergraduate at Appalachian State University, I worked as a Book Reviews Editorial Assistant for the American Anthropologist. I have also worked as an Editorial Assistant for the American Historical Review, covering ancient to early modern European history, as well as methods/theory and revolutions.
